Devon Mayse

Devon DeJonghe Maas graduated from Cooley Law School in 2021. During and after law school she was at Starr Commonwealth, working closely with their Professional Training and Coaching program before moving to their Legal/Compliance team and eventually serving as Associate Counsel. Starr’s Professional Training and Coaching program centered around providing Trauma-Informed, Resilience-Focused education for childcare professionals, clinicians, educators, an parents. Devon also previously served as a Law Clerk and Contract attorney for Elizabeth Abdnour Law.

Since 2022, Devon has served as an Assistant Public Defender at Kalamazoo Defender. At Kalamazoo Defender, Devon provides constitutionally guaranteed representation for indigent clients charged with crimes, utilizing a holistic, client-centered approach.
